Last week, my batch had this Cuti-cuti Malaysia Expo in my campus, promoting the various tourist destination of Malaysia. My group was in charge of the glorious state of Perak. So we spent the previous week coming up with infos and decorations for the booth.
We made a humongous thingy (really can't give it a name) from wires and cardboard. It looks really nice from the front.
(Again I would like to sincerely apologize to the Johor booth people behind ours. I'm from Johor too..).
So anybody walking into campus should be greeted with the lovely aroma of Ipoh Old Town Coffee and cheerful smile of the kopi crew.
Choon the Kong (second from left) is the main brain behind all these.
That's our booth.
Seng Seng was supposed to take our picture for this event but..
Just kidding. (Knock your head if you really believed me)
We're supposed to shoot balloons, really.
So there I was blowing the pipe. (Sounds and looks wrong. hey, you, think straight.)
It was actually quite hard. Although a few of them got it the first time round. Now here's something for you to wonder about. What's this? And what does it do?
My friends and I speculated for a few minutes thinking from reproductive system to digestive system to other "unblogable" stuff.
Well, it turns out to be a case for keeping the darts for the blowpipe. Think of it as a primitive gun-holster.Next day, I had the privilege of being the soundman for the opening ceremony of the event. I got to do mischievous stuff (some intentional, some not) like playing Dick Dale's Misirlou (or Black Eyed Peas' Pump It intro) while the kungfu club was on stage (evil laughter) and Macy Gray's Ghetto Love intro when one of the professors were drawing the lucky draw lots. Oh I really didn't mean to play Exit Music (For a Film) when the VIPs were touring the area though.
